The UCL Quarter-Final Draw, My Take

Four days ago, Uefa announced the quarter-final draw, and it's very interesting. Let's just get right into it.

    Liverpool vs Benfica

Benfica is definitely the ultimate underdog in this season. Finishing as the second in the group with Bayern and Barcelona is pretty impressive. What's even more impressive is the match against Ajax. They didn't dominate the match, but they did win at the end of the day. This told us you can never underestimate a big club. Benfica could be the underdog, who knows. With that being said, Liverpool is probably one of the strongest clubs in the world right now. In the last 16 matches, they've only lost one match against Inter Milan. I'm sorry but I don't think Benfica will be the underdog again. This club that Jurgen Klopp has built is truly mental. Mo Salah will score a couple of goals, and Nunez will probably get a sneaky goal as well.

    First Leg(Portugal): Liverpool 2:1 Benfica
    Second Leg(Anfield): Liverpool 3:0 Benfica

    Bayern Munich vs Villarreal

Top of Bundesliga vs the seventh of La Liga. Villarreal just did 3-0 against Juventus, and Bayern did 7-1 against Salzburg. Both games are impressive, however, I don't see Villarreal will be able to beat Bayern. Bayern isn't in the best shape right now. In fact, they're a bit inconsistent. The first leg against Salzburg they're actually so dangerous to lose. They weren't the best in Bundesliga either, they have 2 draws in the previous 5 matches. They are in better shape than Villarreal, but the match will be tough. Lewandowski had a hat trick against Salzburg, so he will be a big part of this game as well.

First Leg(El Madrigal): Bayern 1:1 Villarreal
Second Leg(Allianz Arena) Bayern 3:1 Villarreal

    Man City vs Atletico Madrid

Another Manchester team for Atletico Madrid, after they knocked out Man United in the round of 16. However, this time they will be facing Man City, which is in a way better shape than Man United. They beat Man United 4-1 in Manchester's Derby, so it could be a tough game. People said that Man City is the strongest team right now, but they seem to lack a bit of consistency. In the last 5 games in Premier League, they lost to Spurs and drew with Crystal Palace. At the same time, Spurs lost to Burnley in the exact next game. Man City isn't horrible in both games, just saying, the game could be spicy. Simeone could come up with a genius plan and destroy them, who knows. e a little risky, I'm leaning towards the underdogs.

First Leg(Etihad) Man City 1:0 Atletico Madrid
Second Leg(Spain) Man City 0:2 Atletico Madrid

    Real Madrid vs Chelsea

The most intense fight in the quarter-final, probably. The 13 times winner played against the last year's champion, it's not easy for both of them. I'm a Chelsea fan, so I'm mainly biased, but here are my thoughts. Chelsea has won 12 games in the previous 13 games. Apparently, the sanction problem is affecting our club, however, we were still in a good shape. I don't see any major issues with our club. Obviously, in the El Clasico, Real Madrid got destroyed by Barcelona in Bernabeu Stadium without Benzema. The club's defense is paper-thin and so vulnerable. (I know I'm biased but that night RM wasn't doing great at all) With that all being said, Real Madrid is a historical team. Benzema knocked out PSG by scoring a hat-trick. A lot of fans are leaning towards Real Madrid, but I'm backing our club, and I have a genuine feeling.

First Leg(Stanford Bridge) Real Madrid 0:1 Chelsea
Second Leg(Bernabeu) Real Madrid 1:1 Chelsea

Some of them are based on a gut feeling, so just take it easy! I think it'll be really tough for all of them, so everything could happen, basically.
